Black Dogs is a ghost story.
It was born out of the actions of characters from my podcast Memester Of The Week and my love of old. supernaturally themed blues songs.
It's the aftermath of putting the dead to rest and seeing that maybe things will be alright after it's all said and done
lyrics
You see her face
Reflected in the rain
As you walk out the door
Not a trace
Left on the cellophane
No hole left in the floor
The fire burns bright in the house that night
Pull the boards from the floor
Salt in the wound it was all too soon
Well he won't bother you anymore
Iron tongs feel the breeze
Something shakes you from your sleep
Hear a noise by the bed
Feel a gun pressed to your head
The fire burns bright in the house that night
Pull the boards from the floor
Salt in the wound it was all too soon
Well he won't bother you anymore
Memories hunting not to eat
Through your house they may creep
Visions flashing behind your head
You know black dogs don't wake the dead
The fire burns bright in the house that night
Pull the boards from the floor
Salt in the wound it was all too soon
Well he won't bother you anymore
Black dogs don't wake the dead
